E – trening – umysł

Dzisiaj 8 kwietnia w rocznicę urodzin Mistrza Zbigniewa Kowala, który dzisiaj kończyłby 74 lata planowaliśmy 4 Seminarium jego imieniem. Niestety nie możemy z przyczyn wiadomo jakich, w tym roku uczcić Jego urodzin, jak byśmy chcieli. Jednak chciałabym, byśmy jak ja zawsze pamiętali kim był, jak wiele zrobił i wpłynął na rozwój pokoleń młodych ludzi kształtując w nich ducha samuraja poprzez treningi judo, ale i wychowując poprzez rozmowy i wzorową osobowość.

Zbigniew Kowal (08.04.1946 – 11.09.2016)

W 1967 roku powstała sekcja judo założona przez Zbigniewa Kowala w Klubie „Polonia” Sosnowiec Huty CEDLER.

W 1974 roku przy Kombinacie Budownictwa Ogólnego – Zagłębie zostaje utworzony Klub K.S. ”Budowlani”  KBO Zagłębie Sosnowiec i cała sekcja Judo działająca przy Polonii Sosnowiec została przejęta przez ten nowo utworzony Klub z inicjatywy Zbigniewa Kowala trenera i wice prezesa tegoż klubu.

Kolejne lata poświecił na pracę z dziećmi i młodzieżą na terenie Będzina. Początkowo w Miejskim Domu Kultury na Koszelewie później w Międzyszkolnym Ośrodku Sportowym. Całe życie związany z judo jego ukochaną dyscypliną, dzieci go wprost uwielbiały. Był wzorem wspaniałego człowieka i wzorowego sportowca. Wychował wiele pokoleń wspaniałych ludzi i sportowców. Nie ma chyba osoby w Będzinie, która by go nie znała i nie była choć raz na zajęciach judo.

11 września 2016 roku odszedł nagle zostawiając po sobie wspomnienia wspaniałego człowieka, wybitnego pedagoga, żeglarza, alpinisty, Samuraja. Do najbardziej utytułowanych zawodników trenera Zbigniewa Kowala należą: Bronisław Kaim, Bogdan Opiełka, Jerzy Skwarek, Maksymilian Klank, Mariusz Kotlicki, Henryk Zielnik, Jan Kmiecik, Andrzej Bartela, Ewa Nowak, Krzysztof Zmarzły i Jolanta Poświat.
